Washington DC – US President-elect Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to the Middle East regarding the situation of Israeli war prisoners. He called for their release prior to his inauguration on January 20, 2024, threatening that any failure to comply would lead to “ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East.”

In a post on social media, Trump declared, “Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America.”

Earlier, Hamas disclosed that 33 Israeli prisoners in their custody had lost their lives due to Israeli assaults since October 2023. In a video shared on Telegram, Hamas accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of jeopardizing the lives of these prisoners through his “stubbornness and criminal actions.”

Hamas emphasized that ongoing Israeli aggression would likely escalate the death toll among the prisoners. According to estimates from the Israeli government, there are still 101 prisoners remaining in Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, backed by the United States, has been carrying out extensive military operations in Gaza. These assaults have resulted in over 149,000 reported Palestinian casualties, with significant numbers of women and children among the victims. Additionally, more than 11,000 individuals are currently unaccounted for as the region faces widespread destruction, starvation, and a humanitarian crisis.
