Parloa Adds Alexander Matthey as Chief Technology Officer
New York, New York – December 4, 2024 – Parloa, a leader in AI-powered automation for customer service, has announced the appointment of Alexander Matthey as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Matthey comes to Parloa with over two decades of experience in technology innovation and development, most recently serving as the CTO at the financial technology platform Adyen. His new role coincides with the launch of Parloa’s industry-first AI Agent Management Platform (AMP).
Before joining Parloa, Matthey held various technology leadership positions at Adyen for a decade. Adyen is renowned for servicing some of the biggest brands in the world, including Amazon, Apple, Nike, Spotify, Uber, eBay, and Airbnb. He began his career at Adyen as the Vice President of Integrations and progressively took on more senior roles, ultimately serving four years as the CTO.
During his tenure at Adyen, Matthey was instrumental in scaling the global team of engineers, developers, and data scientists from 250 to 1500 professionals. Under his leadership, the engineering organization expanded from the company’s Amsterdam headquarters to six technological development hubs around the globe. His efforts contributed to Adyen processing over 970 billion Euro with a net revenue of 1.6 billion Euro in 2023.
Prior to his tenure at Adyen, Matthey was the CTO at Glossybox, a leading e-commerce beauty subscription service that operates in over 20 countries. His extensive background in technology leadership and innovation makes him a valuable addition to the Parloa team, especially as the company looks to expand its capabilities in AI and customer service automation.
With Matthey’s expertise, Parloa aims to enhance its offerings and spearhead advancements in AI technology to improve customer interactions across various sectors.
