Washington DC, January 20: Utsav Sanduja, the founder and chairman of Hindus for America First PAC, has highlighted the increasing support for US President-elect Donald Trump among the Indian American community, revealing that their backing has risen from 22 percent in 2020 to 31 percent in 2024.
During the Presidential Inauguration Hindu Gala hosted by the American Hindu Coalition, Sanduja noted that the Hindus for America First PAC had active involvement in all seven battleground states during Trump’s campaign. He expressed gratitude for Trump’s attention to the concerns of Hindus in Bangladesh and expressed hope that the President would take significant action regarding this matter.
“We were able to increase the popular support from 22 percent to 31 percent from the Indian American community, in contrast from 2020 to now, present in 2024, and we were in all the seven battleground states. President Trump loves all Americans. He’s very concerned about Hindus in Bangladesh. I have been briefing his team about this for many months, and I’m so glad and grateful that President Trump cares about this issue. I’m hoping he will act and implement a solution,” Sanduja stated.
He emphasized the unity among individuals from diverse backgrounds supporting Trump, noting that the welfare of all was a shared concern that could bring about positive changes.
“We saw that a lot of people from different walks of life, different religions, and different races all came together in unity to support the President of the United States of America. Everyone is concerned about the welfare of our people, and they are working diligently to achieve great things. The real highlight was the show of force for this president, signaling a hopeful future for all of us,” he added.

The gala took place at The Mayflower Hotel, located a few blocks from The White House, representing a celebration of diversity and cultural heritage, while fostering unity among numerous communities. Notably, members of the Latino community also joined forces with the AHC to mark this occasion.
“All I have to say is we have got to take America back again, and Trump did it,” stated a Latino supporter at the gathering.
Donald Trump is set to be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States at the US Capitol in Washington DC on Monday (local time). He previously served as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021.
