Two Eagles’ Offensive Starters Return To Practice

PHILADELPHIA – A pair of key offensive starters for the Eagles returned to practice Friday after being estimated as non-participants at a Wednesday walkthrough and missing Thursday’s practice.

Center Cam Jurgens, who has been sidelined with a back injury suffered in last Sunday’s 28-22 Divisional Round win over the Los Angeles Rams, and tight end Dallas Goedert, who is recovering from an ankle injury, returned to Philadelphia’s final practice in preparation for the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field.

Head coach Nick Sirianni remained cryptic regarding the status of the two players. However, this time of year usually requires all hands on deck, and their ability to participate in light work on Friday serves as a positive indicator for their chances of playing against the Commanders.

If Jurgens had been unable to go, the contingency plan involved moving second-team All-Pro left guard Landon Dickerson to center, allowing second-year player Tyler Steen to take over at left guard. Meanwhile, if Goedert couldn’t make a full recovery, backup Grant Calcaterra would have been called upon for additional work at tight end.

Both Jurgens and Goedert were observed stretching alongside their teammates during the portion of practice that was open to reporters.
