Redwood Credit Union Hosts Holiday Food and Gift Drives

Redwood Credit Union (RCU) is excited to announce its holiday food and gift drives taking place at various branches throughout Napa County. This initiative aims to bring joy to local families in need during the festive season.

From now until mid-December, RCU will be collecting new gift items along with non-perishable food donations. These contributions will be distributed to individuals and families by local nonprofit agencies, ensuring that everyone can have a joyful celebration this holiday season.

One key aspect of the drive is the collection of unwrapped gifts. Residents and members are encouraged to drop off gifts at the Napa County RCU branch located at 1705 First St., Napa. Gifts will be accepted until December 9 and will support the Toys for Tots program, helping to provide toys to children who might otherwise go without this year.

In addition to gift donations, RCU is also collecting non-perishable food items for the CANV Food Bank. This initiative is vital as it helps combat food insecurity in the community. All Napa County RCU branches will be accepting food donations until December 19. Donations of canned goods, dried foods, and other shelf-stable items are highly appreciated.

Last year, RCU had a tremendous response to their holiday drives, successfully collecting 1,099 gifts and an impressive 1,850 pounds of food, which equated to 1,541 individual meals. This year, RCU aims to build on this success and encourage even more community participation.

Everyone is invited to contribute and help spread the holiday spirit. By participating in these drives, residents of Napa County can make a significant positive impact in the lives of many families in need.

RCU encourages community members to join forces and make the holiday season bright for those less fortunate. Together, through small acts of kindness, we can create a ripple effect of goodwill that echoes throughout the local community.
